Get the right cordless impact driver by reading our reviews. We go into detail about these impact drivers so that you don’t have to.
Why do we like these cordless impact drivers? They all have plenty of power, they all have efficient batteries, and they all will perform well in tight spots with their compact size.
The Milwaukee of course is a combo kit, but we wanted to include that one in this lineup since it’s priced very competitively and it also offers a little more range. If you happened across this page looking for an impact driver but also not sure if you should have the capabilities of a drill as well, that Milwaukee kit could be worth taking a look at.
The DeWalt and the Makita could probably be considered the best in class and they both would be a great choice for you main compact impact driver.
The Lithium Ion batteries offered in these newer models of impact drivers is simply amazing. The batteries can be charge in 15-20 minutes and they will last a lot longer than the NiCad counterparts. They also hold a charge well when in storage, so if you don’t use your drill often, don’t worry – the batteries should do a pretty decent job of holding those charges if they are using the Lithium Ion technology. You’ll be able to break the drivers out for use and they’ll still have a good charge if you left them with a charge. Good stuff.
